Roy "Butch" Gunyer's Obituary
Roy "Butch" Gunyer, age 80, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026.
Born to the late Roy F. and Bernice G. Gunyer, Roy was a devoted brother to Carol Skowronsky, Sandy Prochaska, Debbie Rand (Ron), and Sharon Deliberato (Rocco). He was a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a loyal friend to countless people whose lives he touched throughout the years.
Butch had a deep love for animals, especially his dogs, who brought him great joy and companionship. He was an avid sports fan with a special passion for the Cleveland Browns. Roy also took tremendous pride in his vehicles, always keeping them in excellent condition and enjoying every opportunity to show them off.
He will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of family and friends, and the many memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to any local animal shelter in honor of Butch's love for animals.
Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Roy's life on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Vodrazka Golubski Deliberato Funeral Care, 6505 Brecksville Road, Independence, Ohio 44131. A memorial service will begin at 12:00 p.m.
Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087.
