Kenneth P Cash's Obituary
KENNETH P CASH, AGE 71, PASSED AWAY QUIETLY ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2023 after battling diabetes and renal failure. Ken was the beloved son of the late Elmer and Alice (Palmer) Cash and Stepson of Ted Chojnacki.
A graduate of Cleveland State University, Ken retired after 42 years as an instructor/tutor at Cuyahoga Community College Metro Campus. His many interests included photography, music, vintage movies, antique cars, flea markets, and history. A lifetime resident of Independence, he was very proud to have been the 5th generation of his family to live in his family-built 1850 house. An avid student of Abraham Lincoln, Ken often gave talks about Lincoln to various groups. He was also a Wizard of Oz fan, who participated in Oz events across the country and became a close friend to several of the surviving Munchkins. An avid reader, he was also the author of four published books and was a first editor to many local writers.
Ken is survived by his beloved and devoted sister Janilyn Nossal (David), sister Judith Brillinger (Allan), stepbrothers Richard (Cheryl) and Ronald Chojnacki (Leslie deceased), many nieces and nephews. Ken will be missed by his family and the thousands of students that he mentored throughout his life.
FRIENDS MAY CALL AT VODRAZKA FUNERAL HOME 6506 BRECKSVILLE RD., INDEPENDENCE (1/2 mile south of Rockside Rd.) on Monday, Dec. 4 form 10 AM - noon. A funeral service will begin at noon at the funeral home. Ken will be laid to rest at Mapleshade Cemetery.
