I am remembering Ken from afar today as I think about his Memorial service. I am his first cousin; our mothers were sisters and we shared an amazing grandmother who we called Gram. I have known him his entire life. He was such a kind and gentle soul who truly loved his family. He had a passion for learning and reading. He owned an extensive collection of books and was particularly interested in the Civil War and The Wizard of Oz. He devoted many years to tutoring a diverse group of students at Cleveland State and was very supportive of them. Ken had a great sense of humor and he will be missed by me, his sisters, Jan and Judy, and many others who cared for him. Ken was a very unique and special individual.
