Althea Bates
I have known Eunice for more than half of her life. We met when she worked at the Cleveland Job Corps Center. Although we were distance in age, we had a lot in common and shared similar activities. We both loved to shop and go out for lunch and dinner. Through the years our friendship continued and we celebrated many birthdays together. I was privileged to talk with Eunice on her birthday on April 9, 2020, since I could not visit her. She turned 98 years old. What an honor to have lived that long. That was my last time talking to her and I’ll truly miss her.
