ADAM JUDE MCNICHOL, BORN JULY 21, 1978, PASSED AWAY ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 29, 2024. Cherished son of Gene (deceased) and Jude McNichol. Beloved brother of Matthew Jude; dearest uncle of Eydie Marie, Audrey Mae and Eugene Jude McNichol. Uncle and friend of the children of the Gill, Ziph, and Necak families.
Nephew of Aileen and Ed Head, Andrew and Robin (deceased) McNichol, Karen McNichol and Paul. Ray and Karen Stahlnecker, William Stahlnecker (deceased), Linda and Donny (deceased) Perkins.
True friend and cousin to many.
Adam was a former member of the Wheelchair Cavaliers. No one was a bigger fan of the Cavaliers than Adam. His love of basketball (playing and watching) was heartfelt throughout his life. Adam participated in wheelchair racing, sky diving, and other activities.
Adam faced multiple medical issues and challenges throughout his entire life. He dealt with them all with remarkable courage and grace. Once asked if he ever had bad days, Adam responded "No bad days - just bad moments."
For a man who was unable to take a single step or stand, Adam was able to reach so many hearts. The McNichol family would like to thank all the medical professionals who's knowledge and great care helped Adam throughout his life. A special thank you to nurses Rob and Jen, and health aid Jenny of Almost Family Home Care.
"How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."
Winnie the Pooh/A.A. Milne
'When you are sorrowful look again in your heart and you shall see
that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight."
Kahil Gibran.
Adam was a participant and counselor at Camp Cheerful for many years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to Camp Cheerful would be appreciated. https://campcheerful.achievementcenters.org.
