Bill and I started work at Allstate Insurance on the same day in 1967. After spending about 6 months in the customer service department, we transferred to the claims unit. Bill as supervisor of the CSR department and me to field adjusting. Bill yearned to be in the field and transferred to property claims. After about 10 years we both went to work for Michigan Claim Service; now ASU. Bill transferred to Cleveland and opened an office that became very successful. He moved back to Michigan and I transferred to Grand Rapids. Throughout the years we kept in touch and always met up at the Blue Goose Christmas party. We always greeted each other by our old Michigan Claim employee numbers, 480 and 501. I'll miss his stories and his laugh. Farewell old friend. Dick Guider

Bill - dubbed the "Bopper" by Mike Moriarty - was a pleasure to deal with (we were both at ASU when he did special CAT projects from his desk in Florida and also worked on claims together when he was an estimator for contractors), and it never felt like "work" when the Bopper was on it. He will be missed. May he rest in peace with the other Adjusting Angels.

Bill and I worked for many years at Michigan Claim Service and became fast friends. Added to that friendship was his membership in the Honorable Order of the Blue Goose International, an Insurance based Fraternal and Charitable organization of which both Bill and I were Life Members. Bill had an infectious sense of humor and you immediately felt that you were his life long friend despite meeting him for the first time. Hail friend and Farewell!!!
