Walter William Shimshock, age 88; beloved husband of Audrey (nee Malinosky); loving father of Lisa Fulkerson (Alan), Lynne Craig (Patrick), Lorie Walchanowicz (David) and Kristy Shimshock; devoted grandfather of Kelly Craig, Shannon Smith (Andrew), Michael Fulkerson, Shelby Walchanowicz and Courtney Craig; Walter is predeceased by his 11 siblings; U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and Purple Heart recipient. Walter will always be remembered for his iconic hat, his love for hunting and going to the casino, for betting his son-in-laws against the Cleveland Browns and most especially his love for his family. He loved socializing and always making new friends, he got a kick out of getting people drunk and it wasn't a party without a game of CLR. Walter loved Christmas decorations and Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas." His family will especially miss his home cooking: rigatoni, chicken soup and homemade noodles. A private service was held.
