Victoria Louise Kurimski's Obituary
Victoria Louise Kurimski (Vicki), age 83, has gone to her eternal resting on Friday November 7, 2025. To know Vicki was to love her; she was always ready with a smile and a joke, and made everyone around her feel special. She leaves behind a legacy of caring, kindness, friendship, and humor. Vicki was the beloved wife of the late John Kurimski, who went to be with the Lord in February 2025. Vicki was loving mother to Vincent Lucas, Juliana Marques, and Susanna Lucas. She was the dear sister of Jean Pisano, Mary Ann Lortz, Victor Ferrolli and Linda Vinicky. Vicki was the proud and caring grandmother of Lucas and Gwendolyn Marques.
Vicki was born on September 20, 1942, in Cleveland, OH, to Victor and Mary Ferrolli. Vicki loved telling stories about growing up in Cleveland with her parents and four siblings (and one goat!). The family all pitched in and worked hard supporting the family bakery business. This is where Vicki not only developed a strong work ethic, but also learned to be a wonderful baker and cake decorator.
Pastry arts was only one of Vicki's creative outlets. She was a talented painter and loved music and theater. As she raised her kids in the 1970s, the record player was always on, filling the house with the sounds of Broadway shows, Frank Sinatra, and Doris Day.
After Vicki graduated high school, she held a number of secretarial and bookkeeping positions. She was always detail oriented and great with numbers and financials.
She married Alfred Lucas in 1970, and in 1971, began the career that gave her the most joy - being a mother. Vicki had three children and selflessly dedicated her time to their needs, from being active in Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts to making Halloween costumes and birthday cakes to endless trips to the mall.
Vicki married her second husband, John, in 1999. Vicki and John were truly best friends. They loved to go polka dancing, share the latest jokes they heard, play cards, and host friends and family for parties. (John was the cook and Vicki baked the cakes). They were a wonderful support system to each other through John's death earlier this year.
