Vicki L. Freidhof's Obituary
Vicki L. Freidhof, (nee Boyd), age 69, of Brecksville, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Chuck Freidhof. Loving mother of Zach Freidhof. Cherished sister of Patti Boyd. Dear aunt of Robin Barbacane (Tim), Lori McArthur & Melissa Granato. Great aunt of Matthew Barbacane and Jax, Bryce & Cole McArthur. Cousin of Patty McDowell, Tracy Zimmerman, and Bobbeye (John) Wagner.
Vicki brought joy and laughter to everyone who knew her. During her 20+ year career in the library at Highland Drive Elementary School. She found a great deal of fulfillment working with the kids and other teachers, and she impacted the lives of countless kids.
Quick to laugh at a situation and herself, she would often inspire smiles and laughter everywhere she went. She was never above silly hats or goofy faces, and always had a hug ready when needed. Though she was happy to lighten the hearts of others, her care was genuine and an essential part of her very being. If she was thinking of you, you'd probably find a silly or heartfelt card in your mailbox, or a little text or waving picture.
She loved dancing and singing random Christmas carols and old show tunes, whether or not she knew the words. A smile full across her face would often coincide with that singing and dancing.
Frequently attending her son's concerts and events brought her much joy. Not just the pride of her son, but she loved his music, and she loved the community of Zach’s fans and followers. Many deep lifelong friends arose through these events.
One of her favorite places was Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where she and her sister spent many happy hours walking by the rivers and meadows, and taking in the sweeping mountain vistas. Wildlife viewing, from the car, was a favorite evening pastime, especially if it involved getting caught in a bison jam or seeing and hearing the wolves howling.
As one person has said this week of Vicki, "She is a huge heart in a tiny package."
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Big Love Network, https://biglovenetwork.us/donate/ Or via check to: Big Love Network, 1111 Carey Ave #1, Akron, Ohio 44314.

One day soon we will all be able to gather again safely; we will all be able to share presence and hugs, stories, songs, and laughter. When that can happen, there will be a memorial celebration in Vicki's honor, and you are invited.
There will be a private service that will be broadcast via Zoom on Friday, August 7th, 2020, at 11am. The link will be updated soon, and will be posted on both Zach and Vicki Freidhof’s Facebook pages.

I hope to see you sharing your smiles, compliments, time, money, and energy with those around you.
We must truly wish to be the change that we want to see.
And we can do it.
We are doing it.
I believe the future is full of mindfulness where hearts mean more than our accounts.
The Love Initiative.
