Thomas Paul Danik's Obituary
Thomas Paul Danik, age 73, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 26, 2026. Born April 8, 1953, in Cleveland, Ohio, Tom was the cherished son of Maryann (nee Gumina) and the late John Danik. Beloved husband of 48 years of Nancy (nee Vorndran) Danik. Loving father of John Danik and Ken Danik. Devoted grandfather of Kevin and Kyle Danik. Dear brother of Diane (Dan) Straub.
Tom was a 1972 graduate of Normandy High School, and he carried the values of hard work and perseverance with him throughout his life. During his working years, Tom served as a Maintenance Worker at NEORSD, where he was known for his dependable nature and strong work ethic. He took pride in doing his job well and in being someone others could count on.
Outside of work, Tom found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed The Browns and The Guardians, and he followed both sports with genuine interest. Gardening was also a past time that he enjoyed. He also loved classic cars, appreciating their style, history, and timeless appeal. Watching television was another pastime he enjoyed, and it gave him a chance to relax and spend quiet moments at home. These interests were part of the rhythm of his life and brought him comfort and enjoyment over the years.
Above all else, Tom loved his family deeply. He was a generous person who gave of himself in ways both big and small, and his kindness was felt by those who knew him best. He was also known to be ornery at times, a trait that added to his personality and often brought a smile to those around him. His loving nature and generous spirit were among his most defining qualities, and they left a lasting impression on family and friends alike.
Tom will be remembered as a man who lived with heart, humor, and sincerity. He had a way of making his presence known, and those who knew him will remember his warmth, his strong opinions, and the care he showed for the people in his life. He was the kind of person whose love was steady and whose generosity came naturally. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Those who loved Tom will remember his devotion to family, his appreciation for the things he enjoyed, and the honest, straightforward way he lived his life. He leaves behind memories that will be cherished and stories that will be told with affection for years to come. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he shared and the example he set will remain a lasting part of his family's history.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Pleasant Valley Church, 12193 W. Pleasant Valley Rd., Parma, Ohio 44130 at 10:30 a.m. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH).
