I just heard about Tom's death a couple of days ago (Sept 1st). I went to Chanel with Tom and will miss seeing and talking to him. Very sincere, but if he liked you he would try to put you down verbally. I can speak for all the guys at school that knew him- we lost someone special. Al Cejka
Dear Carnes Family, Tom was a breath of fresh air as we'd enter or exit the State Theater backstage Security entrance. If one was lucky enough to get to know him, then you got to experience his humor and friendliness. Tom really seemed to enjoy his job and who wouldn't when they're meeting celebrities backstage and enjoying the sounds of the concerts and shows on the State Theatre stage. Tom will be missed. It was definitely a shock to learn of his loss on Monday morning. I hope you know how much he was cared about from the PlayhouseSquare family. All my best, Robyn McGuffin

Dear Carnes Family, I just wanted to offer my sincere condolences for your loss. Although this is a very difficult time may you find solace and peace in the loving arms of family and friends. I have also found much comfort in passages such as John 5:28,29 which speaks of the resurrection hope as well as Rev. 21:4 where God promises to do away with all the things that cause us suffering and pain including death forever.
