Theresa E. Rybka's Obituary
Theresa E. Rybka (née Bogniak), age 95, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Rybka, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.
Loving mother of Marguerite Petite (Mike) and Ken Rybka (Donna). Cherished grandmother of Brian (Alysia) Petite, and proud great-grandmother of Ellie, Katie, and Savanna Petite.
Theresa was born in Corry, Pennsylvania, in 1929 to the late John and Martha Bogniak. She was the devoted sister of the late John J. Bogniak of Corry, PA, and Monsignor Casimir Bogniak of Erie, PA.
In 1950, Theresa moved to Garfield Heights, Ohio, after marrying John. She was a dedicated member of the community and of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, where she sang in the choir for many years, especially cherishing the opportunity to sing during Polish Masses. She had a deep love for music and gardening, both of which brought her joy throughout her life.
Family and friends may gather on Saturday, August 30 at 10AM at SS. Peter and Paul Church, 4750 Turney Road, Garfield Heights, OH 44125, followed immediately by a Funeral Mass at 11AM. Interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery, 480 West Highland Road, Northfield, OH 44067.
