Daughter to the late Joseph and Kathleen Zidanic ( Lechak). Sister to Joe Zidanic ( Sarah), Doug Zidanic ( friend to all and proud cat dad) , and Michael Zidanic( Chrissy) . Beyond Proud Aunt and Godmother to my beloved and amazing Michael Joseph Zidanic , accepted role of godmother and always friend to Grainne Mangan Smyth (David) proud godmother to Adam Coy. Proud Niece to Lynn and Norman Whyte and John and Lois Sullivan ; cousin to Luke Whyte( Mara) CJ Ward (daughter Saylor) and Garrett Chipman (Claire). She also was so proud to be called an honorary Aunt Sue: Thank you to my loyal, amazing and unconditional friends: Allison Likar, Katie( Chris) McMahon, the Harmody Family, Lori Neider-Coy (Anna, Abby, Adam), Darlene (Kevin) Neitzel (Colleen, Molly, Ella, Caroline) Kathleen and Lori Matonis( Kamryn, Jordyn) for allowing me to be apart of your family and your beautiful children.
The love she had for her family transcends to the unbreakable bonds she had with her friends who were her family as well. She cherishes her childhood friends from Independence, her work families from Allegheny, Duquesne, Milwaukee and JCU and the others who although not specifically mentioned by name, Susan hopes she told you how thankful she was that you were in her life , either for a reason, season or a lifetime. Your love and support was so very appreciative and special.
Susan loved to travel. The trips to Maine (Camp was Susan's favorite place) the OBX, Jackson Hole, National Parks, New Hampshire, Colorado, Wyoming, Milwaukee, Michigan, Philly/Jersey, California, Hocking Hills and the Metroparks were so special to her.
She also loved her pets! She loved and cared for them with so much joy. She was so happy taking them on walks, hikes, and just having them by her side.
Anyone that knew Susan knew her passion and maybe greatest love for DMB and the family she had and gained from this love. The music and the friendships that grew from going to the shows ( over 70) was truly where she was free and happy. Alpine Valley will always be her happy place. Meeting Dave Matthews was so magical, no words can describe the feeling.
In lieu of flowers, donations to City Dogs of Cleveland would be cool, but more
importantly take care of each other, take care of the earth and in the words of Dave Matthews "Eat drink and be merry! And celebrate we will because life is short but sweet for certain". Thank you for being my sister and friend. I love you all.
