Alexandria Lee Deblock, lovingly known as Sandy, Mom and Nani, was taken into the arms of our Lord the morning of November 15, 2025. Sandy loved Jesus, her family, friends and animals. She had the biggest heart for her family as a loving Mom, Sister, Grandmother and Great Grandmother (Nani). She was warm, cheerful and always happy to see you, whether you were a friend or a stranger.
Resilient, a dreamer, a defender, a peace maker, a helper, hilarious, sweet and always on the go, Sandy was very active in her community. She made her daily local rounds and lit up any room she entered. She was known to offer anyone a kind conversation and a safe home; people and animals alike. Sandy never judged or turned anyone away. Though she didn’t have much, she gave much. She was generous with what she had, sharing thoughtful gifts, food, stories, smiles, love laughter and time.
Sandy loved horses, fishing, camping, and her tomato juice. She enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns and Guardians play (her family is glad that she won't have to worry about watching the Browns lose anymore). She also had a love for Elvis Presley and his music, inspiring a love that continues to echo throughout her family (even her great grandchildren recognize any Elvis songs and will sing and dance to it).
Sandy enjoyed attending church virtually and in person when she could. She expressed feeling a renewed closeness with Jesus towards the end. She did not have an easy life but by grace persevered through many struggles. Now Jesus has called her home, where she will have no more pain. She is riding her horses in heaven!
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents Michael and Sylvia Gorka, Uncles Walter and Leonard, Brother Bob, Aunts, Marian and Helen, Cousin Dale and Nephew Ronnie and many loving relatives. Sandy is survived by her two sons Eddie (Heather) and Jim (Sue), 5 grandchildren; Bryce (Jolaina), Carter (Halle), Jayden (Khalid), Julia, and Katelyn, and 3 great grandchildren; Marie, Aaron, and Johanna; Brothers, Pug, Walter and Mike, and a Sister, Carol.
The Deblock Family would like to thank Pastor Doug, Community of Hope Church and all of Sandy’s family, friends, and neighbors that made her life special.
