Rose Lupia's Obituary
Rose Lupia, age 88 of Maple Heights, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 30, 2026. Born February 14, 1938 in Taylor, Pennsylvania, Rose was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Emma (Fiorentini) Lupia. Rose was the loving mother of Elizabeth Kiernan. Dear sister of Samuel Lupia (Kathleen), Eleanor Franko (the late William), Mary Ann Nemec (the late Richard), and the late Benjamin Lupia (wife Peggy, surviving). Aunt and great aunt of many. Former wife of the late Richard Janiak.
Rose was a graduate of Garfield Heights High School and later attended and graduated from Marymount School of Nursing. Her education laid the foundation for a long and meaningful career in nursing, a profession to which she gave herself with compassion, skill, and unwavering dedication. She spent 30 years serving as a nurse at Marymount Hospital, where she was appreciated by those in her care for her professionalism and her sincere concern for the well-being of others. Her work reflected not only her abilities, but also her generous spirit and her belief in the importance of helping others with dignity and respect.
Those who knew Rose will remember her as a woman who found joy in life's simple and lasting pleasures. She enjoyed reading, baking, and music, interests that brought happiness to her days. Whether she was immersed in a good book, preparing something special in the kitchen, or listening to music that lifted her spirits, Rose embraced these moments with appreciation and contentment. She leaves behind a lasting memory of compassion, dedication, and gentle humanity. Rose will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Family and friends may gather for visitation at Vodrazka Golubski Deliberato Funeral Care, 6505 Brecksville Rd., Independence, on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 from 11 am - 12 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service at 12 pm. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
