Dear Beth and family sorry this is late I worked with Bob at the middle school what a great guy we had an on going thing about Tiger Woods I still have the dollar bet we made where he wrote Tiger on it I will cherish it. He also brought me puzzles from you.every morning he would come in the kitchen I really missed him when he went to the High School He will always be in my heart my prayers are with you. Palla Brooks
Growing up in the neighborhood, you were either at the Brooks' or the Tubero's. We would play all day long and well into the night. Many a baseball or football game happened right in front of their house on the school lawn. Jimmy and I were good friends and Bob tagged along. He was hilarious, hitting you with one liners. That meant he liked you. As a kid and as an adult Bob was the same. He had that inner kid his whole life. Gonna miss you Bob. Take good care of your brother up there!

Dear Beth and Norm and Joy: I am so very sorry for your loss. Please know that Bob touched many people in such a positive way. Fast working, fast talking Bob....I remember Dave once told me that when Bob played football in HS, he was dubbed Bobby Turbo. Maybe he was in a hurry to accomplish a lot. I worked with Bob at the MS and he and Seamus would often talk...he told us of how he fell in love with Beth the minute he met her. He told us about Norm doing comedy in college. He was so proud. Bob was funny, but getting up in front of a crowd and holding their attention....well he admired that. He was so very, very proud of Joy. He spoke lovingly of his parents and sister and brother and their kids. He enjoyed being a coach. I will always remember a blur of energy and jokes. A man with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Juliana Bowen
"Tubes" was honestly the most selfless man I know. I met him as a 7th grader in track, though he had been friends with my father for a while before then. I was horrible at sprinting, but he encouraged me to stick with it and eventually supported me as I started my career as a long distance runner. I will always remember the look of excitement on his face as I ran the mile in less than 6 minutes. I still have the handkerchief he gave me when I threw up after! He told me several times that Bill Clinton played the sax (that's what I play, too). When I went on to high school, I saw him a few times a week in the hall and we had our usual "Hey Tubes!" "Hey kiddo, how's it going?" conversations. Last time we talked was before Christmas break, when he shared his excitement with me regarding the Mr. Rogers book he bought for his wife for Christmas. I hope it's a good read! Truly, he had such a big heart and kind soul. Hearing from him made my day, as he always had some sort of joke about my sister and I. I will truly miss him, but will never forget what a positive impact he made on my life.
Amazing person and amazing coach. Thank you so much for the positive impact you’ve had on my life and the lives of everyone around you - I’ll miss you Tubes.
Sending positive thoughts to the entire Tubero family.
Not many students took the time to know Bob Tubero like I did. Throughout the entire time I went to Independence Schools with him keeping the place running like a well oiled machine, to the summer I spent with him as my boss racing eachother on Gators, to the countless football games I watched by his side I had a deep admiration for the man. He took on such an incredible role and was in charge of so many things behind the scenes and I always felt he deserved more credit. Gone way too soon. Rest easy brother.
