I'm looking at Bob and Betty's Christmas card from 2016, together for 62 years. That was devotion. Bob always tolerated my visits in my adult years, added funny comments; but I treasure the hug he wanted to give me as I left for home on my last visit. He had a soft side in that bearlike exterior. God rest his soul, and be with dear Betty.
