More than a uncleA friend, protector, teacher, peace makerAre a few words that come to mind.when I had a problem he had a answer.when I was down he would make me laughWhen I was in trouble he would get me out of it. Not to mention the life time of fun We had together with the family and friends Football games, basketball games family picnic holiday gathering and much more. From teasing Aunt Sue to listening to stories about my older cousin and the crazy stuff they did bring him a twig for a Christmas tree to painting his house etc. From taking me out fishing to coming over and consoling me and my sister when we were 9 and 7 when we had to have our dog put to sleep. He was always there.Love you more buddy Lenny
Our sympathy to Dick's family. He was a help to me during my years as Mayor of Garfield Heights. I have great memories of him and his brother Howard. May they rest in peace.Tom Longo and Wife Eileen Scottsdale, Arizona
Sorry to hear of Rich departing us and passing over to heaven. You were a very good friend to us Rich and we will never forget how you enriched our lives. Rest in peace Richard.
Since we lived close by and for several years went to St. Tim's at the same time we saw each other often when growing up. Rich was the "big cousin" being a few years older which often was to the detriment to us "little cousins" (me,Tom, and Dennis). Like when he would let his boxer Duchess out of his pen to "play" with us, boxing matches in the basement, fooling around at King Pin and Garfield Park, and so many other great memories. I'm going to miss the Big Guy!
Richie had a way of making you feel more than welcome. In my early college days he and Sue opened their home to me and we spent Saturdays watching Ohio State football and sharing memories of our times growing up as kids.Rest in peace, Rich.
