Regina Marie "Reggie" Budd's Obituary
Regina Marie Budd (nee Golenieski), 81, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 in Missouri. Beloved wife of 57 years to her late husband Gene F. Budd, and loving mother of Darlene and Thomas Longoria (Kansas City, MO) and Jaye Budd (Atlanta, GA). The dear sister of Dolores Kozlowski and Gerri (Steve) Shopp, "Reggie" will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by family and friends.
A 1957 graduate of Marymount High School and Benedictine homecoming queen, Regina Golienski married Gene F. Budd in 1958. She worked as a secretary at Pesco Products Co. for 5+ years before the birth of her children. Devoted mother and wife, our Mom spent countless hours creating and making memories we will cherish in our hearts forever. She loved her friends and our friends, and was always willing to serve as host for holiday and impromptu gatherings. Family dinners and holidays included specialty dishes we will carry forward in our lives. Reggie enjoyed nature and especially the wildlife in the backyard woods. With children off to college, she and her dear friend, Maxine, started their own small business providing hand-crafted decorative pieces to local furniture and accent shops. She also worked in several administrative office positions over the years. Our Mom and Dad enjoyed travel, live music and hosting tailgate parties to cheer on the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and Indiana University Hoosiers. Her later years in Missouri were filled with a dinners at her favorite Italian restaurant, deer watching and bingo! Always up for a celebration or casual gathering, she will be missed, but always present in spirit.
A visitation service will be held at The Vodrazka Funeral Home of Independence, 6505 Brecksville Road (Rt. 21, S. of Rockside), Friday, April 23, 2021 from 4-8 pm.
