Pia Magnasco's Obituary
PIA MAGNASCO, AGE 87 OF GARFIELD HEIGHTS, PASSED AWAY ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 9, 2025. Cherished wife of the late Sam Magnasco for 57 years; dear mother of John (Christine) and Vickie Bowden (John); beloved sister of the following deceased, Lorenzo, Cristina, and Louisa; grandmother of Nicholas (Megan), Ranee (Joe), Emily (Dan), Mark (Alyssa), Meghan (Jacob), and Sydney (Aditya); great grandmother of Maverick, Johnny, and one on the way!
Pia was only 16 when she immigrated to the United States by herself from her home country of Italy. Having already lived through WWII as a child, she came through Ellis Island and began a new life. Like so many Italian women, Pia loved cooking her own sauce and was made an extraordinary roast beef. She loved to garden and truly made everyone in her presence feel genuinely loved. She gave the best hugs anyone has ever had.
If you would like to make a memorial contribution in her name, the family requests they be made to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Charity at https://www.olvcharities.org/ or to the Society of the Little Flower at https://www.littleflower.org/
