Patricia Carruozzo's Obituary
Patricia (Pat) Carruozzo (nee Glandy), 87, of Macedonia, Ohio, formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Garfield Hts., Ohio, passed away December 19, 2025.
Pat was born January 30, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to Joe Glandy and Cleo (Baldwin) Glandy-Kaiser. She married David Carruozzo on May 12, 1956 and they divorced in 1973. But that's just the beginning of their story.
Pat and Dave were married for 17 years before divorcing. However, David followed Pat to Ft. Lauderdale in 1987 and they remarried in 1990. They never stopped loving each other and their children call it their 69 year odyssey.
Pat spent the earlier part of their marriage taking care of their 4 children. After she moved to Ft. Lauderdale she spent over 25 years working at the Marriot Harbour Beach. She never met a stranger and would do everything she could for people in need. In her later years she enjoyed watching sports on TV, reading, going to the casino or playing Bingo. She moved back to Ohio in 2024, residing in Macedonia.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents Joe Glandy and Cleo Glandy-Kaiser, husband David Carruozzo, her sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Ken Carlson, and her granddaughter Erin Hohman. Survivors include her four children, Cindy (Steve) Hohman, Steve (Susan) Carruozzo, David Carruozzo, and Karen (Chuck) Donahue; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Roberts, John Carruozzo, Gina Carruozzo-Armstrong, Amber Carruozzo, and Kaetlyn Donahue; and 6 great-grandchildren, Summer and Amelia Roberts, Angelina and Anna Pejanovic, Alyssa Carruozzo and Georgia Armstrong.
Family and friends may gather for visitation at Vodrazka Golubski Deliberato Funeral Care, 6505 Brecksville Rd., Independence, on Saturday, December 27th from 1:00 to 4:00 with a short service to begin at 4:00pm.
