Norbert John Ploski's Obituary
Norbert John Ploski, age 88 of Brecksville was born on July 13, 1929 and passed away on Friday February 23, 2018 in peace with the Lord. Preceded in death by his parents John and Anna (Oranski) and sisters Eleanor Wolodzko, Florence Skala, Mildred Schauer and Evelyn Sternad. He was Uncle Norbie to 13 nieces and nephews and, grand nieces and nephews, and cousin to many. Though he never married, he treated his nieces and nephews as his own and participated in everything with his extended family, especially dinners and celebrations at his sister’s homes. He provided advice and support that was unselfish and generous. He shared his passion and knowledge of the stock market. He loved to collect many items especially antiques (known to the family as “tchotchkes” or junk). What he started in Southern Ohio will live and be appreciated for generations. Uncle Norbie was a private person but enjoyed his Polish heritage, Polish food, music from his phonograph, camping, horticulture, domestic animals and a good auction. He will be greatly missed and appreciated by everyone that he touched. In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions given to Regina Health Center, 5232 Broadview Rd., Richfield, Ohio 44286. Mass of Christian Burial Monday February 26, 2018 at 10 A.M. at St. Basil the Great Church. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
