Mildred L. Gerard's Obituary
Mildred ""Millie"" Louise Gerard, 78, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017. Millie was born March 16, 1939 in the very home in which she died. She graduated from Garfield Heights High School in 1957. She met her husband, William ""Pete"" on a blind date and they married on October 12, 1963 at SS. Peter and Paul Church. Millie had several jobs throughout her life, but none was more important than being the proud mother of three sons.Millie was a beloved wife, mother sister, aunt, great aunt, and friend to many. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, willingness to laugh and for single-handedly keeping Malley's Chocolates in business. Millie was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Mary Friedel and her darling brother, Elmer Friedel. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 53 years who cared for her lovingly and tirelessly as her health began to fail. She is also survived by her three sons, William ""Bill"" (Leah) of Columbia, SC, Brian (Karen) of Cleveland, OH and Jason (Angeline) also of Cleveland OH as well as six grandchildren; Keller and Rider, Brianna and Sara and Hunter and Blake.Friends may call at GOLUBSKI DELIBERATO FUNERAL HOME 4747 TURNEY RD. CORNER of GARFIELD BLVD. FOR VISITATION ON WEDNESDAY AUGUST 2, 2017 FROM 4-8PM. Prayers will be held at the funeral home Thursday August 3, 2017, at 10 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saints Peter and Paul Church at 10:30am. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her honor to Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
