Michael Twardzik's Obituary
Michael Twardzik, age 86, of Parma, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Thursday, April 23, 2026. Born May 8, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Michael and Marie (Pisek) Twardzik. Beloved husband of 61 years to the late Ruth Ann (nee Ainsley) Twardzik. Dear father of Michele, Michaelann, and Michael (Joanne); grandfather of Jessica, Cassandra (Christopher), Alex, Julia, Brittany (Kenneth), Jennifer (Thomas), Caitlyn, and Jacquelyn; great grandfather of Alexys, Alyson (James), Alyssa, Sydney, Brayden, Alivia, Michaela, Jaxon, Kenneth, Everleigh, Laney, Autumn, Madison and Xavier.
Michael attended grade school at St. Therese Catholic School in Garfield Heights and was a 1957 graduate of Garfield Heights High School. After graduation, he began a long and dedicated career as a meat cutter, a trade he practiced from 1957 through 2017. He was a member of Meat Cutters Union Local 427/880 and also worked at Chevrolet Parma, where he was a member of UAW Local 1005.
Michael was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, an organization that reflected his values of faith, service, and fellowship. He was especially known as a hobby mechanic who worked on everyone's cars, always willing to lend a hand and share what he knew. Many people benefited from his skill and his willingness to help without hesitation.
Family was at the center of Michael's life. His family brought him great joy, and he treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. Michael found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved fishing with his grandchildren and creating memories that will be remembered for years to come. He enjoyed building model cars and rockets, tending to the vegetables in his garden, and grilling a great steak for family and friends. He also appreciated the history channel and had a special interest in Greek mythology, both of which reflected his curiosity and love of learning.
Through his generous donation of his gift of life, he continues to bring hope and healing to those in need. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Michael will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his long and faithful work life, and the many ways he enriched the lives of those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, hard work, and kindness will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will continue to bring comfort, pride, and gratitude to his family and friends.
Family and friends may gather for visitation at Vodrazka Golubski Deliberato Funeral Care, 6505 Brecksville Rd., Independence, Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 4-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Bosco Church, Parma Heights, Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
