Nancy and family,
My deepest condolences on the passing of your father. What an incredible life to overcome such adversity and build such a loving family.

Hi Dad!
You always asked what day it is, it's Wednesday. You also asked if I thought Captain remembers you. Believe me, he remembers you! All I have to do is mention your name, and he's ready to go see you and Mom! Seeing you yesterday, you looked peaceful, and certainly not 92. I hope I look as good as you do when I reach 92!. I wish I could have seen you one more time or even talked with you on the phone. I tried calling. Believe me, I tried. I'm being told that a lot of people tried, too. COVID stinks and none of us could visit and see what you needed without relying on the home's opinions. I wish I could have made you pierogies, brought you McDonalds, or a pastry of some sort last week.
We had a conversation before went into the hospital. You always told me to take a rest. I told you that what I was doing for you and Mom was nothing compared to what you and Mom have done for me and that what I was doing was not as exhausting as you think it was. Everything I did for you and Mom, was the least i could do. You and mom took great care of Shane and Lexi while I worked. Picking them up from school, to feeding them bacon daily (I did ask you to limit that, but you continued and they never complained, that's for sure!). As Lexi put it, you were the first man she ever loved. She idolizes you. She will never be able to say the #14 correctly, to me anyway. Thanks Dad! LOL
Thank you for being my Dad. It's time for you to take a rest. Sleep sweet papa!
Love, Nancy
