Michael F Kabat's Obituary
MICHAEL KABAT, AGE 100, OF INDEPENDENCE, PASSED AWAY PEACEFULLY ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 29, 2024. Beloved husband of the late June Kabat for 63 years; loving father of Bruce (Marlene) and Terri Masar (Jim); cherished grandfather of Michael & Marissa Kabat and Joseph, Lydia, Celeste & Mitchell Masar; loving son of the late George W. and Anna (nee Boba) Kabat; brother of George and Irene Jankuj, and the following deceased siblings: Julius, Edward, Veronica Sasala, Adeline Bala, and Frances Polcyn.
Mike served his country as a paratrooper in the US Army 17th Airborne Division during WWII. He retired from LTV here in Cleveland. Mike always enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and had a deep, loud laugh to accompany his great sense of humor. He was known to always extend himself to help people around him in need.
THERE WILL BE A GRAVESIDE SERVICE AT 12:00 PM ON SATURDAY, MARCH 9 AT MAPLESHADE CEMETERY IN INDEPENDENCE. Please meet at Vodrazka Funeral Home, 6505 Brecksville Rd., Independence, at 11:30 AM to process together to the cemetery where he will be laid to rest with military honors.
