SCREPTOCK, MERLE E., LPN, AGE 83 OF INDEPENDENCE PASSED AWAY ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2024 SURROUNDED BY THE LOVE OF HER FAMILY. She is reunited with "Her Love" Nicholas Screptock. Treasured mother of Karen Olejarski (Stanley), and Jack Screptock (Danielle).
Loving grandmother of Lauren Pichert (Carl), Daniel Olejarski (Olivia), Logan Zastawny (Zach), Megan Screptock, Kalli Screptock, Stephanie Screptock (Jason), Nikole Cario (Valentino), Amanda Screptock.
Great grandmother of 7.
Beloved sister of Dale Spisak (Josie). Step-mother of Mark, Michael, David & Steven Screptock. Companion of James Cahal.
Merle was a beautiful woman who was a caregiver by nature. She worked her entire career as an LPN which spilled over into giving care for her many family and friends outside of work. She loved to travel and enjoyed cruises and trips with her best friends. Merle was also a long time Eucharistic Minister at St. Michael Catholic Church in Independence and a long time member of the Independence Garden Club. She also loved her dogs Lilly and Diesel. Most people would know Merle from her near-daily trips to Drug Mart.
FRIENDS MAY CALL AT VODRAZKA FUNERAL HOME 6505 BRECKSVILLE RD., INDEPENDENCE (1/2 mile south of Rockside Rd.) ON THURSDAY, SEPT. 5, FROM 4-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Michael Catholic Church, Independence on Friday at 10 AM. Please meet at church for mass. Merle will be laid to rest at Mapleshade Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Merle's name to Ames Family Hospice House, 30080 Hospice Way, Westlake, OH 44145
