Margaret Donelon's Obituary
MARGARET DONELON, 88, OF VALLEY VIEW, PASSED AWAY ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Martin "Bud" Donelon for 63 years. She was born in Washington County, East Pike Run Township, California, PA on August 22, 1935, to the late Harry Shaposka and Anna (nee Palmaskunich) Shaposka. Loving mother of Gail Artman (Jim, deceased), loving son Gregg (deceased), Kathy Donelon, and Kelly Donelon (Greg).
Margaret worked at Standard Oil headquarters in downtown Cleveland for many years. She was a Christian Science scholar, I. W. Healing Practitioner and Teacher. She was an extraordinary seamstress blessing her family with clothes and prom dresses and an avid patron of the live theater with her beloved husband, Bud. Margaret loved golfing, hiking, and boating with her husband and her family.
She was also a prolific contest player winning season tickets to the Browns, a trip to London, and even a house in Willard, Ohio. She was an accomplished baker whose blackberry pies were out of this world. She played softball on the Valley View softball team. Margaret was also an avid bird enthusiast.
