LOUIS NYKIEL, U. S. Army Veteran, World War II, European Theater, 96, of Independence, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021. Dear brother of the following deceased siblings, Stanley, Sylvester, Joseph, Ben, Ted, Bertha Mieskowski, Martha, and Lottie. Cherished uncle of Pat Anescheck, Hank Mieskowski, Thad Nykiel, Mike Nykiel, and Donna Priore. Great uncle and great great uncle of many.
Louis loved to watch all his extended families' sporting events. He was a huge supporter of the Independence Boosters and a fan of all the Cleveland sports teams. He loved to garden at his home.
FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE VODRAZKA FUNERAL HOME, 6505 Brecksville Rd. Independence (1/2 mile south of Rockside) ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8 from 9:30 - 11 AM. Mass of Christian burial at St. Michael Catholic Church, Independence at 11:30 AM. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
