Joseph Koza's Obituary
JOSEPH ""PAPA JOE"" KOZA, age 92, devoted husband and father, passed away peacefully at Heroes Harbor Hospice on Sunday, May 29, 2016. He was born August 29, 1923 in Everson, PA to Andrew and Anna Koza (nee Sandzimier). Joe was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a medic and company clerk in Europe. He retired as a press operator from Chrysler at the Twinsburg, Ohio Stamping Plant. Papa Joe was an avid golfer and fan of the Indians, Browns and Cavs. He also enjoyed gardening, puzzles and Solitaire.Papa Joe is survived by his loving wife, Eileen (nee Stempniak) and son Peter Andrew; his brother and sisters: Mary Boshinsky, Marion (Regina) Koza and Delores Surma. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Vince, John, Charles, Melvin, Stanley, Casimier, Eugene and Frank, and sisters Nellie Martinowski, Rose Petrilla and Cecelia Connors. Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio on Monday June 6, at 2:30 pm. Contributions may be made to Heroes Harbor Hospice at the Louis B. Stokes VA Medical Center, 10701 East Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44106.
