John Kurimski's Obituary
John E. Kurimski, age 96, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 16, 2025. He was a man of great spirit, humor, and dedication, leaving behind a legacy of love and hard work. John is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 26 years, Victoria L. Kurimski. He was a devoted father to John Kurimski (MaryJoan), the late Terrence A. Kurimski (Barbara), and the late Robert Kurimski. He was a proud grandfather to many grandchildren and cherished his great-grandchildren as well.
A graduate of Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, John pursued pre-med studies and majored in chemistry. His passion for education led him to become a chemistry professor and football coach at Warrensville High School, where he inspired countless students. John was truly a jack of all trades, known for his resourcefulness and work ethic.
Over the years, he took on various jobs, including working as a milk man for Meyer Dairy, a skilled carpenter remodeling homes, and even operating the merry-go-round at Kennywood Amusement Park for several summers. His sharp wit and storytelling made every job an adventure. He had a deep love for music and was a lively dancer, especially fond of Polkas. John was also an animal lover, having had dogs throughout his life who were his loyal companions. John's memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his legacy will live on through his family and the many lives he touched
VISITATION AT VODRAZKA FUNERAL HOME, 6505 BRECKSVILLE RD., INDEPENDENCE, (1/2 mile south of Rockside Rd.), ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24 FROM 10-11 AM. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM at the funeral home. John will be laid to rest at Mapleshade Cemetery immediately following the service.
