James Matthew "Jim" Szuch, age 57, of Marion, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026. Born June 10, 1968 in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, Jim was the beloved son of Margaret Szuch-Stadler (the late Raymond Stadler), and the late John F. Szuch (Marlene, surviving). Loving life partner of 33 years, of Jannie Watkins. Cherished father of Michael James Szuch, Rachel Watkins (Chris) and Brandy Watkins. Adored grandfather of Rileigh Nicole and Payton Leigh. Dear brother of John J. Szuch, Christopher Szuch (Donna) and Valerie Journic (Thomas). Step brother of Georgia Francis-Steward (Paul). Uncle, nephew, cousin and friend of many.
Jim enjoyed fishing, building Legos, playing with his grandchildren, going to concerts with Rachel and model trains.
Family and friends may gather for visitation at Vodrazka Deliberato Funeral Care, 6505 Brecksville Rd., Independence, on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael Catholic Church, 6912 Chestnut Ave., Independence, at 11:30 a.m. Inurnment will immediately follow at All Saints Cemetery.
