James Arthur Major's Obituary
JAMES MAJOR, AGE 64, PASSED AWAY ON SUNDAY, JUNE 22, 2025. Beloved son of the late Francis Sr. and Maureen Major; dear brother of Mary Beth Ficzner (deceased), the late Frank Jr., Joseph (Daryl), Maureen Sowden (Kevin), the late Kathleen Thomas (Brian) Paul (Gina); uncle of Brian (Cathy), Elizabeth, Joe Jr. (Emily), Kristie (Jake), Jackie (Danny), Sara (Antonio), Ashley, Delaney, McKenna, Amanda, and Amy; great uncle of Antonio, Eli, Caden, JP, Conner, Raegen, John, Kyle, Mason, Hadley, Conner, Miles, and Finn.
Jimmy was a no frills kind of guy who loved all sports - especially the Cleveland teams. He enjoyed reading the Plain Dealer from cover to cover, a good beer, and the lottery. Above all, however, James loved his family. He will be greatly missed.
Friends may gather at St. Monica Catholic Church, 13623 Rockside Rd., Garfield Hts. from 9-10 AM, Saturday, June 28, 2025. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 AM at the church. Interment will immediately follow at All Saints Cemetery, Northfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parma Care Center or St. Jude Children's Hospital at st.jude.org.
