James "Jim" Kulig's Obituary
James “Jim” Kulig, age 61, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020. Beloved son of the late George and Annette (nee LaCorte) Kulig. Loving brother of Kathleen Deily (James), Michael (Mary Beth), Tony (deceased), Josette (deceased) and Teresa LaCorte (Michael Wesel). Beloved fun “Uncle Jimmy” and “Best Gift Giver” to Tony Avila (Jen), Julie Koscho (Jason), Katie Avila (Marcus Gilmer), Robert Avila (Megan Jenkins), Vanessa Doherty (Christopher), George Kulig (Mary), Jake Kulig, Anthony Kulig and the late Michael Kulig. Longtime high school friend of Michael Latsko (like a brother). Great uncle of 12. Jim was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a 29 year employee of the U.S. Post Office. Jim was a devoted & die-hard fan of all Cleveland Sports teams and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a lover of John Wayne movies, marvel comics and model trains. His greatest joy came from showing his Christmas model train display. Family will receive friends at THE VODRAZKA FUNERAL HOME OF INDEPENDENCE, 6505 BRECKSVILLE RD., (RT. 21, S. OF ROCKSIDE), WEDNESDAY, JUNE 3, 2020 FROM 6-8 P.M. SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE OBSERVED AND FACIAL COVERINGS ARE RECOMMENDED. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, June 4, 2020 at St. Basil the Great Catholic church, 8700 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville at 10 a.m. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH), (Face masks must be worn). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim’s memory to The Cleveland Indians Charities, 2401 Ontario St., Cleveland, Oh 44115 or The Cleveland Browns Foundation, 76 Lou Groza Blvd, Berea, Oh 44017.
