James Anthony Jeric's Obituary
James Anthony Jeric, 83, of Twinsburg, Ohio was born September 22,1942 to John and Josephine Jeric in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up in the Nottingham Blvd area of Collinwood and graduated from Collinwood High School in 1960 where he played clarinet in the marching band. He also played the accordion for the Mellowtones, a band put together with his best friends from high school.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Cynthia Ann Jeric (nee Garsig), loving father to DeAnna Skiba (Anthony) and Jennifer Phillips (Shawn); dearest grandfather to AJ Akiba (30), Jacob Skiba (27), Peyton Phillips (24), and Zachary Phillips (21). He was happiest when surrounded by the loudness and laughter when his family was together.
Jim retired from Dana Corporation as a Data Processing Manager. Our “Mr. Fix It” was an endless source of knowledge and the person everyone went to for wise advice and direction. He always guided his loved ones with a caring heart and generous hand. He took great pride in his meticulous landscaped yard and his attention to detail. He loved 50s music and classic cars and his treasured memories of driving his Dad’s 1956 Oldsmobile down Lakeshore Blvd back in the day. Jim and his “corny dad jokes” will be missed by so many who loved him.
Instead of a formal funeral home memorial, we will have a “celebration of life” gathering with a date to be determined. Please direct any interest in attending by emailing [email protected] or calling/texting 330-715-6030 so we can inform you of the date, time and location.
