Helen Anne Hyla's Obituary
HELEN ANNE HYLA nee SZCZEPANIAK, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022. Cherished wife of the late Theodore "Ted" A Hyla; mother of Theodore "Ted" C Hyla (deceased) and Elaine Slea nee Hyla (Jerome "Jerry"); step grandmother of three and step great grandmother of three. Dear sister of the following deceased, Mary Banasik (Roman), Anne Doberstyn (Frank), John (Eleanor & Stella), Frank (Olga), and Edward (Rita).
Helen was born on January 29, 1920 in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1938. She worked 26 yrs. at Cleveland Trust Bank (now Key Bank) and was a member of the American Business Women's Association. She was a devoted Catholic and active member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church where she chaired the Craft Fair and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Guild.
Helen loved to bake and talk to her sisters. She was a voracious reader, loved the Hallmark channel and getting her hair and nails done.

FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE VODRAZKA FUNERAL HOME 6505 BRECKSVILLE RD. INDEPENDENCE (1/2 mile south of Rockside Rd.) ON SATURDAY, JUNE 4 FROM 10-12 NOON. Funeral service at noon at the funeral home. Interment private.
