Helen A. Elrod, (nee Charmley), age 70 of Independence, joined the love of her life, Philip Sr. on Monday, April 6, 2020. Beloved mother of Rachel Atwell (Robert), Jennifer (Paul), Heather Lee (Rashawn) and Philip Jr. (Jennifer). Cherished grandmother of Nick (Kasey), Quinton, Aidan, Anthony, Dominic, Carlo and Mia. Adored great grandmother of Wyatt. Dear sister to Wilford (deceased), Joseph, Anthony, Lawrence “Larz” and John. Beloved sister-in-law, aunt and great aunt of many. Loved by all that met her. Helen had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed. A celebration of Helen’s life will be held in July.
