Dear family of Gerald Lee Van Bolt, I am writing this letter because I read the obituary online for your dear loved one Gerald Lee Van Bolt. Although, I am unable to attend his memorial, I wanted to write this letter to give your family comfort. Many people blame God for the death of a loved one. Some may say it was their time. Is that how you feel? No one can say what will happen in their life from one day to the next. Time and unforseen occurrences befalls us all, regardless of our walk in life. So it makes you wonder, would a God of love want to see his creation in pain and suffering as we all are today? The only true source of comfort comes from God's word the bible. At Acts 24:15, the bible tells us that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and unrighteous. Many believe that the earth will be destroyed and all who die will go to heaven, but Psalms 37:11 tells us different. It says, "the meek will possess the earth and find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." Also, Isaiah 65:17 tells us that God is creating a new heaven and a new earth. In God's new earth, it will be inhabited by righteous people free from sin and death. This hope extends to you, your family and the entire world of mankind. God will not tolerate death and suffering forever, and one day, you will be reunited with your dear loved one again! Comfort given through God's word the bible helps us to know that death is not the final end to all things. Our wonderful creator has a name. His name is Jehovah (Psalms 83:18). The bible identifies him as a personal God and he is close to the broken hearted. Therefore, he is aware of the pain you and your family is feeling, and he will permanently end all of mankinds' suffering soon! If you have more concerns and/or questions about life's most important issues for now and in the future, please do not hesitate contacting your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. You can have many of life's important questions answered for you in the bible. Its only a fingertip away.
