While I don't know Frank or his family personally, I hope my story will bring you peace, faith, and trust in God's mercy. As an Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister to the Sick for Assumption Church in Geneva, I visited Frank Dec. 21st. I blessed his forehead with Holy Water and talked to him and said the Lord's prayer & Hail Mary. He was laying quietly with his eyes closed, possibly sleeping. I was moved to lay my left hand on his shoulder and pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for him. As I prayed the Chaplet, something stirred in him. He raised his eyebrows, brought them together and was moving his eyes, although his eyelids were closed. I don't know if he could hear me or if he knew the Divine Mercy Chaplet, but I do know the abundance of graces for the soul who prays this chaplet and for those for whom it is prayed. I laid a Divine Mercy prayer card under his hand and went to Assumption Church, lit a candle for him below the image of the Divine Mercy. My family and I prayed many Chaplets for him that day and the days that followed. Be assured that Frank has received much grace and mercy from our Most Merciful Lord. (If you want to learn more about the Divine Mercy image, chaplet, message and feast day, read the "Diary of St. Maria Faustina Kowalska: Divine Mercy in My Soul", Marian Press.) May God bless you and bring you peace!
