Francis George Boehnlein, age 86, passed away September 12, 2019 after a long battle with Parkinson’s, kidney cancer and heart disease. Son of George Boehnlein and Helena Weaver (both deceased). Beloved husband of Mary Alice Boehnlein, Ph.D. (nee Maher) for 63 years. Loving father of John Francis (partner Lisa Irwin), and Gregory Boehnlein (Renee Wicks). Cherished grandfather of Brianna Nicole Boehnlein and Isabella Renee Boehnlein. Brother of Helen Piotrowski (nee Boehnlein) (deceased). Uncle of Barbara Gesicki (nee Piotrowski) and James Piotrowski (Shawn), and uncle to many nieces and nephews. U.S. Army Veteran and former director of purchasing at Balas Collet Company, Jerrpack Balas Company, and High Pro Company. Past president Experimental Aircraft Association, Chapter 127 and of IJK Homeowners Association at Casaybel Resort, Sanibel Florida. Attended Fenn College and held a Journeyman Machinist certificate from the State of Ohio. Friends received in the vestibule of St. Michael Church, 6912 Chestnut Rd., Independence, Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 9 – 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. Interment Mapleshade Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice or to St. Michael Church Memorial Fund at the address above.
