Ernestine J. Wisnieski's Obituary
Ernestine J. Wisnieski (Guidetti) 99, of Brooklyn Heights, peacefully passed into God's loving hands on February 20, 2023. The heart and sunshine of our family, "Ernie" opened her home to everyone and welcomed all. It was always the place to have a cookie and a good hug!
Ernie and her beloved husband Elmer loved to camp, fish, travel, and were active members of the Catholic church. They spent many winters in Bonita Springs, FL participating in sports, crafts, going to the beach, and playing bingo. Ernie was an avid and tenacious Cleveland Indians fan and played softball into her 80's. She loved all animals, mostly her precious Chihuahua "Penny" and her infamous sidekick "Chico" the squirrel monkey.
Ernestine's pride and joy was time with her family. She loved having her grandchildren and great-grandchildren gather at her home, being energetic, laughing, and enjoying each other. She loved to bake for her family and she created beautiful crochet bedspreads, afghans, and dolls.
Ernestine is preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Elmer, son, Richard, siblings: James, Peter, Gina, Lena, Theresa, Marian, and Nancy, and her parents Andrew and Maria. She is survived by her loving daughter Karen and son-in-law Paul Baracz, grandchildren: Lisa (Douglas), Brian (Edie), Kelly, and Elizabeth (Jason), great grandchildren: Carter (CJ), Kylie, Shawn (Jordan), Donny, Zachary, Zander and Zane and great-great-granddaughter Jasmine.
Her smile and love will be greatly missed by all and anyone who has met her in their lifetime.
