Elaine Spuckler's Obituary
Elaine A. Spuckler LPN, age 82 passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025. Beloved wife of Joseph G. Spuckler Sr., mother to Joseph, Timothy, Karen, Daniel, Kathleen, Amy and Holly, and grandmother to Alexander, Maxwell, Joshua, Sarah, Sonia, Noah, Emily and Aiden.
After working as a nurse's aide when her children were mostly grown, Elaine decided to pursue a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She earned her degree from the Parma School of Nursing and continued to work at Mt. Alverna as a LPN until she retired. After retiring, she dedicated time to volunteering as a Life Enrichment provider at Mt. Alverna, as a Spiritual Care Provider at Parma Hospital and as a dog walker at the local animal shelter.
A lover of nature and animals of all kinds, she enjoyed spending time outdoors and traveling to favorite places like Vermont, Hershey PA and Maumee Bay.
In her memory, please send a card or make a visit to a nursing home resident so as not to forget their vitality and contributions they have made to enrich our lives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Elaine on Monday, January 27, 2025, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Independence at 11:30 am. She will be laid to rest at Mapleshade Cemetery, Independence, immediately following Mass.
