Elaine W. Kukral's Obituary
ELAINE W. KUKRAL, AGE 84, PASSED AWAY PEACEFULLY ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2024. Born on July 18, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, Elaine was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Elmer Kukral for 53 years; loving mother of David Kukral, the late Kenneth Edward (Nanette) Kukral, Anne (Hayden Ashton) Kukral, and James (Doreen) Kukral; devoted grandmother of Allison (Tim) Chinchar, Austin Kukral, Hailey and Jayce Kukral, Sydney and Tori Ashton; great-grandmother of Ryker and Beckett Chinchar; dear daughter of the late Edward and Helen Rogers and step-daughter of the late Margaret Rogers; loving sister of the late Richard Rogers; aunt and great-aunt of many, and dear friend to all.
Aside from her life as a dedicated wife, mom, and grandma, Elaine had an amazing career as an educator who deeply impacted the lives of her students. Outside of the classroom, she took immense joy in her faith and as a choir member at St. Basil, St. Michael, and St. Rita Catholic churches. Elaine loved photography, traveling the world, swimming, baking, gardening, and crafting, especially sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She was also a loving pet mom, and an ally and friend to all she met. Everyone was welcome in Elaine's home.
FRIENDS MAY CALL AT VODRAZKA FUNERAL HOME, 6505 BRECKSVILLE RD., INDEPENDENCE (1/2 mile south of Rockside Rd.) ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, FROM 6:00-8:00 p.m. (Final visitation will also be available at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 20, at Vodrazka.) Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church, 6912 Chestnut Rd., Independence, on Friday, September 20, at 10:00 a.m. Elaine will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Maple Shade Cemetery in Independence, and they will waltz together in eternity.
