Every time I think of Ed I think of the amazing garden he had for so many years. Always bringing you in there to 'take what you want' and then sending you with bushels of veggies because 'you didn't take enough'. I have a few hand-written recipes from him - his favorite (at the time) that he gave me (twice) a jalapeno dip:) which is very good, I can see why he gave it to me twice.
