My family wishes to extend sincere condolences to the family of Ed Nowak. My dad, Arthur Taylor, was in and out of Grande Pointe for a couple of years until his death last spring. Ed was almost always seated out in the lobby, acting as the unofficial greeter. We sure appreciated his warmth and cheery nature. I never saw that man in a bad mood. We all looked forward to chatting with Ed every time we visited my dad. We will remember him fondly.
Our deepest sympathy to Nancy and Don Kitson and Judy and Chuck Broski. Foster and I have some wonderful memories of your dad. While riding the school bus (on Turney Road) up to the high school, I would see your dad walking to the fire station...in the rain, sleet, and snow. The weather never seemed to keep him from walking. We still laugh about your dad and the little golfer (the long stick with the automated golfer at the end...you would pull a small lever at the top to maneuver the little golfer to hit the ball). Your dad didn't want us using it on the family room carpeting. We know he will be deeply missed.

On behalf of all the staff at Grande Pointe, we are very sorry for your loss. Ed was so special in so many ways. He always knew everyone by name and his presence in the lobby made everyone smile. I know he would light up everytime I brought my kids in to see him and I will miss him very much.
My deepest condolences to your family at this time. I will deeply miss seeing Ed outside my office everyday, as I have for the last few years. He will be missed by all our staff and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. I will miss my daily "winks" that he never seemed to know how to do, personally I think he was just teasing me.
