I really did not know Ed very well but my son is one of his son's best friends. If Ed was anything like his son Eddie or wife Candy than he was truly a great person. Our deepest sympathy and condolences go out to your family during this trying time. We are sorry for your loss.
Dearest Dettman Family: Let me begin by saying that I am sorry for your loss and passing of a good individual, Ed. It has been a long time since GHS and 1983 and when we graduated, we lost contact with one another and in the long run, sometimes it costs in many ways. To Jeff Travink: I hope you and your family are ok during this time of mourning. I will keep you in my thoughts. I also pray that your strength will make you stronger during this time of mourning./gb
Dear Dettman family, I am so sorry for your loss I cant even begin to know what you are going through at this time. one of the things that I have found to be a great source of comfort is the thoughts expressed in the Bible at John 5:28,29 Were we see that God is going to bring our loved ones back to life. At Revelation 21:4 We see that God is going to eliminate all of the causes for why we get sick grow old and die. Also at Psalm 37:10,11,29 We see that God is going to get rid of all wicked evil people and only those who are good in his eyes are going to have the chance of living forever here on a paradise earth surrounded by other happy healthy people. It is my sincere hope that these thoughts bring your family comfort at this time. Once again i am so sorry for your loss.
So sorry to hear about one of my old, best friends in the world passing. Fast Eddie made me laugh like no other person could. We had great times and a bunch of memories. He was kind of like the older brother I never had. I will miss you Ed. My heart goes out to Ed's family. I hope you are able to stay strong during this trying time.
