Edward M. Bohach's Obituary
Edward Bohach, 87, of Brecksville, Ohio passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025.
Edward proudly served his country in the Army, from 1961 - 1963 where he developed the discipline and resilience that shaped the rest of his life. He was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii where he was a track mechanic and worked on M48A1's (tanks). After his service, he became known as someone who could fix just about anything. Whether it was a household repair, a car issue, or especially a telephone project, Edward had a gift with his hands and never hesitated to lend his skills.
More than his talents, it was his kindness and generosity that defined him. He was always ready to help his family or a friend, share a smile, or give without expecting anything in return. His warmth and selflessness touched everyone who knew him.
Edward also had a wonderful sense of humor. He never took life too seriously, and he was always ready with a joke or a witty remark, even with people he had just met. His laughter was as much a part of him as his steady presence, and it had a way of brightening any room he entered.
Lovingly called "Bubba" by his grandchildren, Edward carried a calming presence that brought comfort and ease wherever he went. Steady, dependable, and unwavering, he was someone his loved ones could always count on, a man whose quiet strength built trust and love in equal measure.
He is survived by wife Mary Bohach, children Matthew, Patrick, Dana and Stephanie, grandchildren Kylie, Breannah, Hope, Mary, Gabriel, Scarlett, Aurora, and Natalie, and a great granadchild Magnolia. He was preceded in death by his siblings MaryAnne and John.
Family and friends may gather for calling hours at Vodrazka Golubski Deliberato Funeral Care, 6505 Brecksville Road, Independence, OH 44131 on Wednesday October 1st from 4 - 8pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at https://stjude.org
Edward will be deeply missed, but his love, kindness, generosity, and steady presence will live on in the lives of those he touched.
