Edith Mausser's Obituary
Edith Mausser (née Eppich) was born and raised in Altlag, Gottschee, Europe and immigrated to Cleveland with her family in 1951. Beloved wife of Herbert (deceased) for 61 years; devoted mother of Lydia (Ron), Herbert F. (Sonja), Ursula and Erich; cherished grandmother of Christopher (Lauren), Kevin (Rachel) and Jeffrey (Raquel); loving Oma of great-grandchildren Charlie, Benjamin, Grace, and Greyson on the way. Daughter of the late Anton and Josephine (Gliebe) Eppich; sister of Johann (deceased), Maria (Stefan, deceased), Josef (deceased, Hedi), Gabriela (Erwin), Edeltraud (Josef), Erika (Brantley), Adolf (Vida), Walter (deceased) and Hermann (deceased). Dear Tante of numerous nieces and nephews. Edith was devoted to our Blessed Mother and a long-time member of the St. Michael’s Altar and Rosary Society. She sang beautifully, instilled a love of music in her children, and was an original member of the Gottscheer Heimatchor German-language choir. Family will receive friends in THE VODRAZKA FUNERAL HOME OF INDEPENDENCE, 6505 BRECKSVILLE RD., (RT. 21, 2. OF ROCKSIDE), WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2020 FROM 9 - 9:45 A.M., followed by Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church, 6540 Brecksville Rd. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Catholic Relief Services is suggested.
