Earl W. Foote's Obituary
Earl Willard Foote, Nov. 5, 1932 – Sept. 24, 2020. Son of Louis B. Foote and Eunice A. Foote. Earl’s ancestors included: Nathaniel Foote – a surveyor on Moses Cleveland’s crew; a mayor of London, England; and a maternal connection to President Howard Taft.
He was husband of Ina Sue (Adams) Foote and father of David, Richard, William, Michele, and Robert. Grandfather of thirteen: Katie, Scott, Samantha, Faye, Elijah, Hadassah, Gayle, Rachel, Benjamin, Ethan, Daniel, Max, and Olivia. Great grandfather of five: Ethanna, Avery, Braiden, Madison, and Calvin.
Earl was a Cuyahoga Heights School Board member and served as a Valley View volunteer firefighter. His life revolved around farming – especially with the best sweet corn in Ohio.
For 64 years, he operated Foote’s Valley Farm on Canal Road. It started with just a wagon with corn and grew into a full market with a garden center (plants and accessories) in the Spring; local produce in season, (including Fall pumpkins, straw, corn stalks and Christmas trees, and plants).
Family, friends, “market acquaintances” were his joys and he loved everyone. Family will receive friends in THE VODRAZKA FUNERAL HOME OF INDEPENDENCE, 6505 BRECKSVILLE RD., (RT. 21, S. OF ROCKSIDE), WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2020 FROM 4-7:30 PM, WITH A FUNERAL TO FOLLOW AT 7:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 E. Market St. Akron, OH 44308.
