Doug Mechelke, age 49, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019. Beloved husband of 8 years to Jen (nee Blauman). Loving son of Ray and Jackie (nee McGuire) Mechelke. Dear grandson of Dorothy Taylor. Brother of Michele Gajewsky (Dan). Uncle of Brandon and Clayton Gajewsky. Cherished brother-in-law and uncle. Papa to beloved pets Chloe, Chopper, Gemma, Leo, Molly and Duke. Doug was a Gulf War Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Family will receive friends in THE VODRAZKA FUNERAL HOME OF INDEPENDENCE, 6505 BRECKSVILLE RD., (RT. 21, S. OF ROCKSIDE), SUNDAY, JANUARY 5, 2020 FROM NOON – 4 P.M., with a funeral service to follow at 4 p.m. Interment will take place Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Rittman, Ohio, 44273, with Military Honors. (PLEASE MEET AT THE CEMETERY GATE AT 10:15 A.M.)
